An Introduction to The Charging Rhino

Many years ago, as a college student, one of my English professors reminded me to be sure to use my writing skills for good. With that admonition never far from mind, I do try to devote at least some of my time writing to reach out to others in a variety of different ways. For example, I write regularly on the subject of depression, a condition I experienced myself for several years.

Over the course of the past few months, I have become the victim of a stalker – a woman who I have decided to name in this blog: Deneale K. Williams. My thought is that she has lost her right to anonymity as a result of the truly outrageous acts she has undertaken in her efforts to harass and stalk.

I need to note up front that I am far from the first individual who has been victimized by Williams. The list of people she has stalked, harassed, threatened with violence is long – and growing. She has been arrested for stalking. She has at least one other open stalking case at this time. Court records indicate that she may be out on a $30,000 bond in another stalking case.

In pondering how to address being stalked by Deneale K. Williams, I decided I needed to take a firm stand against her. This included taking legal action in civil court as well as involving law enforcement as necessary. (Once again, I am not alone in having to take these steps in regard to Deneale K. Williams. Other individuals have had to take legal action in an attempt to reign in the misconduct of Williams – oftentimes to no real avail.)

I must confess that by taking a firm stand against the misconduct (indeed, even illegal activity of Williams), the actions of this individual have only become more egregious. For example, she has posted here and there on the Internet that I telephoned her and said I was coming over to her house to rape and murder her. (I made no such call and this represents one of claims for damages in the lawsuit I am pursuing against Williams.)

In the end, in trying to protect my privacy against the ever increasing onslaught by Williams, I am reminded of facing down a charging rhino – hence the name of this blog: The Charging Rhino.

I decided to write this blog to explain what I encounter when facing down this charging rhino for two reasons. First, in the end, I believe that light needs to be shed upon the misconduct of people who stalk, harass and work diligently to impair the day-to-day lives of other individuals. Second, I rather imagine that many people being stalked by someone like Deneale K. Williams feel lonely and embarrassed. With the explosion of the Internet, a person like Williams can do and say just about anything in pursuing their goals of harassment and stalking. I have concluded that other people being stalked need to understand that they are not alone and the fact that they have been targeted by a stalker is not their fault.

I have no schedule in mind as to when I will be posting on this blog. I probably will post as events unfold, including my own legal efforts to bring an end to the harassment and stalking of Deneale K. Williams. Understanding that many people have to deal with abusive stalkers, I have set up a special email account for anyone who might like to share stories or to seek support: mb@mikebroemmel.com. I will endeavor to respond to all emails received through this address as quickly as possible.

I close by sharing a photo of the person who is stalking and harassing me incessantly. I’ve written over 600 words in this blog post. But, in the end, I rather feel this image is worth a thousand more.
